Climative CEO Winston Morton Honoured with Prestigious Clean50 and Clean16 Awards for 2025

Toronto, October 10, 2024 – Climative, a leader in AI-powered low-carbon plans for buildings, is proud to announce that its CEO, Winston Morton, has been recognized as one of Canada’s Clean50 for 2025. In addition to this esteemed accolade, Winston has also been named one of Canada’s Clean16, distinguishing him as the top leader in the Technology & Telecom category for his outstanding contributions to sustainability and the clean economy.

The Clean50 Awards, curated by Delta Management Group, are presented annually to honour individuals who have made significant impacts in promoting a clean economy in Canada. From an initial pool of over 1,000 highly qualified candidates, Winston was selected after a rigorous screening process that evaluated measurable accomplishments and demonstrated innovation and leadership in inspiring other Canadians to adopt sustainable practices.

“Being selected for both the Clean50 and Clean16 is an incredible honour,” said Winston Morton. “This recognition reaffirms Climative’s mission to revolutionize how building retrofits are identified and measured. Data will play a key role in the inclusive transition to a low-carbon economy, uniting many stakeholders in supporting building owners, from banks to real estate organizations, insurance companies, contractors, utilities, and government agencies. Time is of the essence, and we are proud to be at the forefront of creating innovative digital solutions that accelerate the decarbonization of buildings.”

Under Winston’s leadership, Climative has transformed the approach to home energy assessments and retrofits, addressing a critical bottleneck in reducing carbon emissions from residential buildings. Instead of relying solely on traditional, on-site assessments, Climative’s AI-powered platform performs rapid, remote energy assessments of homes at scale. The platform has assessed over 5 million homes in 682 cities, uncovering a potential 55 megatonnes of CO2 savings. Communities and organizations using Climative’s solutions can quickly analyze retrofit needs, engage homeowners with personalized retrofit plans and offers, and connect them to energy advisors, creating a streamlined pathway to a more sustainable future.

“On a mission to revolutionize home energy efficiency, Winston and his team are disrupting how home energy assessments are performed and how homeowners access resources to perform energy efficiency retrofits,” said Gavin Pitchford, CEO of Delta Management Group. “The status quo – performing home energy assessments on-site – would take 142 years to retrofit buildings to net-zero – time we don’t have.”

Winston will join 144 past and incoming Clean50 honourees at the Clean50 Summit 14.0 in Toronto on October 10, 2024, where he will collaborate with Canada’s sustainability leaders to address critical sustainability challenges facing Canada.
