Tianshu Huang Delivering Presentation on Scaling Residential Retrofits at AEE Canada East STEER Atlantic Conference in Halifax

Climative’s Data Scientist, Tianshu Huang, has been selected to present at AEE Canada East STEER Atlantic, the Strategic Transition to Electrification and Emissions Reduction Atlantic Conference, October 16 in Halifax. AEE Canada East is a chartered Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers.

Tian’s talk will focus on using virtual home energy assessments as a tool to scale residential retrofits. She will discuss how granular building-level climate data allows stakeholders to:

  • Target the right homes first: Prioritize oil/propane and old buildings; rank by energy saving or GHG reduction potential
  • Turn emissions reporting into action: OSFI B-15 requires lenders to actively reduce portfolio GHG emissions
  • Close the loop with financing options: Convert lender demand into green mortgages, PACE program, and home upgrade loans
  • Progress tracking to prove results and re-target

Tianshu will share case study results demonstrating how better building-level climate data can improve homeowner engagement, save energy advisors time, and create actionable data insights for program managers, banks, and other stakeholders who support homeowners.
