Climative CEO Winston Morton to Speak on Accelerating the Retrofit Funnel at Smart Energy Vancouver 2024

Climative’s CEO, Winston Morton, has been selected to speak at Canada’s clean technology event, Smart Energy Vancouver 2024, November 5-6, in Vancouver, British Columbia. The event has been held for twenty years and brings together organizations and innovators who are leading the way to a net zero future.

Panel to Feature Speakers from Climative, SOFIAC, Efficiency Capital, and Canada Infrastructure Bank

Winston will participate in a breakout session on “Accelerating the Retrofit Funnel – From Project Identification to Financing to Action” on Day 1 of the event. The session description reads:

Navigate the entire journey of building retrofits in this dynamic session. Uncover how to identify retrofit projects effectively, secure the necessary financing, and swiftly move to implementation. Examine a variety of financing models – from government incentives to private funding solutions – and their impact on accelerating retrofit projects across Canada’s residential, commercial, and governmental buildings. Engage with financial experts, policymakers, and industry leaders who will share insights and real-world success stories, offering practical strategies to streamline the retrofit process and enhance Canada’s building efficiency at scale.

Winston  joins three other speakers from SOFIAC, Efficiency Capital, and Canada Infrastructure Bank.

About Winston

Winston Morton is the Chief Executive Officer at Climative, an experienced engineer, and technology industry leader. He brings deep knowledge of energy analysis and building science and has worked with various utilities and municipalities across Canada on energy retrofit projects, and in developing policy around decarbonization projects with Government and industry leaders. He is skilled in data acquisition and database development and was instrumental in developing Climative’s automated carbon model. He has a background in security and management of sensitive data. Winston also sits on a number of standards committees including the New England Clean Energy Council (NECEC) Policy Committee.
